Quick seating on a Friday morning. Ordered upfront at the counter before sitting down wherever. The salmon benedict was amazing. The egg was served on top of a crispy flattened croissant. The crab benedict wasn't too bad either. It had avocado bits mixed in and was creamy. Couldn't taste much crab though.

It was a very delicious dish, fast service and a beautiful ambiance. I didn't try the pastries this time.

My absolute favorite croissants and pastry place in the Bay Area. The butter croissant is soft, airy, and sweet buttery. kougin amann is simply perfect. Also nice outdoor spaces.

This is my #1 Go-To pastry spot on the peninsula--they have arguably the best pastries in the area, but also serve excellent breakfasts/lunches similar to cafes you'll find in Paris. But it is the freshness and superbly high quality of the ingredients of their pastries that gives Mademoiselle Colette the top ranking for pastries on the peninsula, and arguably in the Bay Area or even the state. A very close second is Alexander's Patisserie in downtown Mt View--but they are slightly different. Plus the street-side or the back patio seating with marble tables and wicker chairs, areas with umbrellas offer a very "similar to European cafes" feel.
